Common questions about adding Scalp Vitality Serum to a daily routine.
Will it leave my hair greasy?
No. The serum is water-based and silicone-free, with a fast-absorbing gel-fluid texture engineered to disappear into the scalp without residue. The gum-based suspension (sclerotium, xanthan, acacia) keeps the actives in a lightweight matrix that absorbs in under a minute. There's no oily layer left behind once it dries.
Can I use it on damp hair?
Yes, damp or dry both work. Damp hair makes scalp parting easier because the strands separate cleanly. Dry hair lets you target specific areas like thinning patches or the hairline more precisely without the formula running. Pick whichever fits your routine. Application during the post-shower window often makes it easy to remember as a daily habit.
How often should I use it?
Once daily is the recommended frequency. The formula is designed to maintain its effect across 24 hours, so a second application during the same day doesn't add benefit. Consistency matters far more than dose: a 60-second application every day will outperform a longer session three times a week.
Will it sting if my scalp is sensitive?
Most users feel a mild cooling sensation from the peppermint oil, which is intentional and not a sting. The base formula uses gentle hydrating actives (sodium hyaluronate, niacinamide, panthenol) suited to sensitive skin. If your scalp is actively irritated, broken, or recovering from a procedure, wait until it has settled before introducing the serum. A patch test is a good idea if you have a history of reactivity.
Can I use other styling products afterwards?
Yes. Apply the serum to the scalp first, let it absorb for about a minute, then layer your usual styling products on top. The serum is designed to disappear into the scalp rather than sit on the strand, so it shouldn't interfere with mousses, sprays, or oils applied to the lengths of your hair. For the cleanest layering, brush hair after the serum absorbs but before styling.
